Scorpio 10’

The Scorpio 10’ is a two-part telescopic crane with tilt, pan, and arm encoder reading for high-quality motion capturing. The two-section arm is designed for operator flexibility and offers a universal fit to attach to any dolly. The maximum lens height is 15’4” overslung with a telescoping range of 7’7”, extending and retracting as fast as 6’ per second. The base width can adjust from 2’1” to 3’2” with a minimum door clearance of 5’8”. The full extended arm reach is 10’6,” and the retracted reach is 2’11”. The overall arm length extended is 14’4”.

The Scorpio 10’ has two different operation modes: electronic and manual. The default electronic mode allows telescopic electronic movement, powering the crane by batteries and warranting high precision, smooth footage in low and high-speed movements. The manual mode gives control to the Camera Operator to move the telescopic arm and create unique shots that match their vision.

One of the unique features of the Scorpio 10 is the “Arc compensation,” which automatically corrects the arc generated by motion, both in horizontal and vertical movement, keeping the camera line straight. Additionally, the Scorpio 10 features back panning through the system’s advanced software capabilities. This crane has added value to the creative vision of filmmakers for years while also adding production value and extended functionality to those behind the camera

Scorpio 35’

The Scorpio 35’ crane provides high-speed, smooth, and silent camera movement through its beautifully engineered telescopic arm. The articulating arm and base can be wheeled through any typical doorway, making it the perfect candidate for filming fluid movement in tight spaces.

The NEW Scorpio 35’ is a four section light telescopic crane for payloads until 40 kg in both under and over slung. Fast, silent and very smooth it is ideal for the television and broadcast market or the film market with light payloads. By reducing the payload capacity, Servicevision designed the new Scorpio 35’ as a much lighter crane compering to the popular Scorpio 38’ (for 70 kg payload). This lighter arm allows it to be supported in the same column and same adjustable dolly as the Scorpio 23’. The Scorpio 35’ is the first light crane that incorporates the dynamic counterweight system to ensure the perfect balance of the arm on any position.

The Scorpio 35’s arm has incredible maneuvering qualities and a maximum reach of 35 feet. In addition, the Scorpio’s aluminum extension arm offers rigid structure and smooth camera movements. The base width can adjust from 2’5” to 5’11” with a minimum door clearance of 6’6”. The overall extended arm length is 35’3”Consistent with the rest of the Scorpio telescoping cranes, this 35 footer is programmed with an automatic arc compensator in both the horizontal and vertical axis. The Scorpio 35 crane can easily maneuver in difficult locations when paired with the double-ended steering base. Let your imagination come to life through the Scorpio 35 crane, and allow this telescopic crane to bring exciting perspectives and unique angles to your next project.

Scorpio 38’

The Scorpio 38’ crane is designed for smooth, silent, and efficient camera movements, even at full extension. The Scorpio 38’ is the natural evolution of the Scorpio 30’ + 7’. With 4 telescopic sections, this crane allows up to 154 pounds maximum payload keeping a perfect rigidity in its maximum extension and lens height of 40’ overslung (36’ underslung) without sacrificing function or performance. The crane can extend and retract as fast as 8.6 feet per second within a 30’7” telescopic range .

At its minimal configuration, the chassis is only 3’9” wide (4’11” leveling jack footprint) by 5’11” long, and can dolly on 2’ track. The chassis width can be adjusted out to a maximum 5’ wide (6’2” leveling jack footprint) to dolly on 3’3” track. The minimum door clearance is 6’11”. The Scorpio series of cranes are capable of repeatable arm-articulation, programmable limits for telescopic movement, camera tracking system integration for realtime virtual studio and augmented reality, dampening, and compensation on arc movement in both the horizontal and vertical axis. The Scorpio 38 contains the perfect combination of telescopic travel, speed, length, and chassis size that create dynamic imagery with less effort and space requirements. Integrate it with the Scorpio head for additional functionalities such as backpan compensation, targeting, and pre-programmed remote head position points according to the crane movements and position.
